Incoming Book Policy Reminder

Spring is finally here and The Book Exchange is blazing as the weather... er, well, as hopefully the weather will be this "summer." We'd like to take the time to thank all of our wonderful guests that use our credit exchange policy and bring in great books that get a second life and new loving homes.

The summer is one of our busiest times for books being brought in for exchange, so this is a good time for a quick reminder regarding our incoming book policy.

Incoming Books Policy

Your books are welcome at The Book Exchange, however we do not want you to find unsatisfactory books in this store. Therefore we must establish some conditional requirements for the acceptance of books.

  • No mold or mildew. Beware of books previously stored in a garage or basement.
  • Damaged or torn books. We cannot re-sale books with missing front covers. Additionally books with major damage, torn and/or missing pages, dirty, greasy or heavily soiled cannot be accepted.
  • Readers Digest Condensed Books.
  • Scribbled in children books.
  • Books with explicit pornographic content.
  • Encyclopedia sets.
  • Texts books more than a few years old.
Have a great spring & summer and be sure to stop in and stock up for some great summertime reading materials ! !
